Bristol Film and Video Society
FILMMAKING: FROM SCRIPT TO SCREEN with Don Fairservice

Following the decision by Bristol University to discontinue the excellent Lifelong Learning lecture series given by Don Fairservice, Bristol Film and Video Society have been fortunate to have the opportunity to host his lectures and continue a much-appreciated course.

Bristol has become a world-class centre for film making, with many production houses and skilled professionals based in the area. To ensure that this skill base is continually refreshed and kept up-to-date, it is essential that we provide facilities for those wishing to improve their techniques and widen their horizons to meet future challenges.

With much lower overheads and based outside the city centre, BFVS can offer a very attractive course fee compared with university charges, while maintaining the standards previously attained. BFVS also offers a programme of meetings which any students attending the course would be welcome to come along to for the current year of membership.

The course will be held at the Filton Pavilion, Elm Park, Filton, Bristol, BS34 7PS; this is very easy to get to, and has good parking facilities. The course will take place over six evenings, on the first and third Tuesdays of January, February and March 2010, from 7.30-10.00pm with a short break for refreshments.
